Dear Port of Port Manatee Propeller Club Members,

My name is Abby Lindecamp, and I am the Port Manatee Propeller Club President.  If I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting you during the past three years when I served as Treasurer, I look forward to meeting you in the upcoming year.  I have been involved with Port Manatee and the maritime industry for over twenty years, and I am honored to lead this club for the next year.

Our past president Matty Appice was a great leader and I know I have some big shoes to fill.  Over the past few years, I have admired the contributions of past presidents such as Matty and Billy Roy.  Their dedication to the club and maritime community are perfect role models for me.  I feel that my own professional desires and goals are like those who have led the club in the past.

I’d like to start by following Matty’s lead. Not only was Matty instrumental in keeping the club engaged during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was an enormous challenge for many clubs, but he was able to increase membership! We can now look forward to in-person meetings and events once again, but I’d like to keep the club strong. We can all help with that goal by recruiting new members.

We will continue to support the many causes we have been involved in.  The club is committed to providing scholarships to local high school seniors, supporting local children in need, supporting the Anchor House serving the international seafarers and SeaPort Manatee community, and various other charities, as well as introducing the maritime industry to future generations.

The club board met for its annual planning session, and we have a great year of planned events.
I will always be open to any feedback or comments so please feel free to send me an email at any time.
I look forward to serving all of you, and again thanks for allowing me to be your Port Manatee Propeller Club President.

Sincerely,

Abby
