In June 2005, the Port of Port Manatee Propeller Club began its relationship with the U.S. Propeller Club with 40 charter members.

Today, the club is honored as the 2008 and 2006 Southeast Region Club of the Year and was nominated for International Club of the Year at the International Propeller Club Conference and Convention in 2006 in Norfolk, Virginia. Membership has grown to nearly 100, with a strong treasury in place to support an impressive array of monthly speakers and programs.

High-energy monthly meetings provide Propeller Club members with programs to inform and empower them with the knowledge needed to excel in their careers.

Member benefits include On The Waterfront, an informative e-newsletter about chapter news and a personal subscription to Propeller Club Quarterly, the official publication of the U.S. Propeller Club. Members are eligible to participate in on-line surveys allowing personal and confidential feedback on programs and events, intended to improve the value of club membership even more.

Except for May, dinner meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at the Bradenton Yacht Club in Palmetto.
